Our Pheasant Inn is a traditional British public house located at 19 Salt Lane, Salisbury, England. The building dates back to the 15th century and was originally five attached dwellings. In 1638, the shoemakers acquired the corner section of the building when schoolmaster Philip Crew left his house to the guild. The pub has a rich history and is listed on the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II* listed building. It has always been known for serving classic pub food and Sunday roasts, and has a courtyard and function room. We're also dog-friendly!

Salisbury is a city in the south-east of Wiltshire, southern England. It is situated at the confluence of the Rivers Avon (East, or Hampshire, Avon) and Wiley. The city has a long history and remains of the city’s past can be seen throughout the city still to this day.
Salisbury was originally known as Old Sarum, an Iron Age hill fort that was later occupied by the Romans. In 1220, the bishop of Old Sarum moved his seat to a new location and Salisbury was founded as New Sarum.
The city is known for its medieval cathedral, which was built between 1220 and 1258 and has the tallest spire in England. The cathedral is home to one of the four surviving original copies of Magna Carta. Salisbury has been a magnet for visitors for over 800 years and has a rich heritage that can be explored through its museums, galleries, and historic buildings.
Our main menu is created using only the best fresh ingredients and is handmade to order. We use local suppliers and have a great relationship with many local companies who are based in the heart of Salisbury.
Since we use fresh food in our kitchen we’re very good at catering to any allergies or dietary requirements, such as gluten free or vegan meals. As always though, we cannot promise that our food hasn’t touched other ingredients on the way into our kitchen.
